Provinus 2 Campaign kicks off 2011 with US Tasting Tour

The Alto Adige US “Provinus” campaign, co-financed by the European Commission and the Italian state, aims to promote Alto Adige DOC wines across the United States, one of the world’s most important wine markets. Following the successes of the 2010 program, closing this December, the yearly campaign will recommence in early 2011 with “Provinus 2” and a continuation of promotional activities, again managed by Cornerstone Communications.
To kick off the year, the wineries of Alto Adige will take part in a three-city tour of the US, hosting Grand Tasting events in Chicago (March 7, 2011), Boston (March 9, 2011), and New York City (March 10, 2011). Each event will feature a master class led by some of the region’s top producers, entitled “Italian Whites at their Peak: A decade of award-winning white wines from Alto Adige.” In addition to the US Tour, other year-round “Provinus 2” programs will include national print and online advertising, direct media and trade outreach, as well as increased internet and social media presence to boost awareness of the high quality wines of Alto Adige.
