An Overview of 2017 Alto Adige Wine Events

What Wine Lovers Can Look Forward To This Year

Wine brings people together. That is demonstrated time and time again by the varied program of promotions for Alto Adige wine. In collaboration with the Consortium of Alto Adige Wine and IDM Alto Adige, there will once again be a series of events in 2017 at the local level which form the perfect invitation for enjoyment and convivial exchange over a good glass of wine.
These include not only the tried and tried and true, but new arrivals as well. The Alto Adige Wine Summit is surely the most hotly awaited premiere of the year. Over two days in September, international journalists, experts from the sector, and those just interested in wine will receive a multisensory overview of local wines and their origins. Through an experience route that has been set up specially for this event, and in conversation with the winegrowers themselves, visitors will dive deeply into the world of Alto Adige wine. The event will be accompanied by tastings, winery tours, and press excursions.
Also still new is the event Dolovino on Snow. It is taking place this year for the second time, and just like Wine Skisafari in Alta Badia, it will warm up the winter with exquisite wine pleasures on the edges of the ski runs. In May, the Alto Adige Wine Party will be presented in slightly modified form. The congenial event in the garden of the Parkhotel Laurin in Bolzano will for the first time also include Alto Adige sparkling wine. In November, the curtain will then once again go up for the best Alto Adige wines of the year – at the Top of Alto Adige Wine, where wine connoisseurs can look forward to excellent pours. Before that, Alto Adige wine will also be presented at the Hotel Tradeshow in Bolzano. In addition, seminars and workshops in cooperation with the Wine Academy and the Association of Hoteliers and the Hospitality Industry will provide a deepening of knowledge on wine and the training of up-and-coming sommeliers.
