We will be celebrating the opening of the 2023 Wine Summit together amid the historic walls of Mareccio Castle in Bolzano. Against this unique backdrop you will first be welcomed by the sparkling wine producers of Alto Adige, then proceed into the castle for a sit-down dinner.
Friday, 8 September
The taste of diversity – tasting of Alto Adige wines
The Crane Hall of the NOI Techpark in Bolzano, a completely restored industrial monument dating from the 1930s, is the setting for a whole series of tastings:
- Preview tasting: sample special wines that are not yet available on the market.
- Varietal tasting: experience the unique diversity of Alto Adige’s wine culture.
- Vintage tasting: discover the special and original character of our vintages.
- Anniversary tasting: celebrate the hundredth birthday of Santa Maddalena wines together with the consortium responsible for their conservation.
Winegrowers & friends: wine culture meets dining culture
Wine and food have always gone together in Alto Adige. Nowhere can you experience this in more authentic form than with the region’s wine producers themselves, who invite you to enjoy a very personal dinner, accompanied by top local wines and the culinary secrets of our winegrowers. And, because their friends are also invited, you will also get the chance to exchange ideas with a wide variety of producers.

Climate, soils, varieties – the wide (mountain) range of vineyards
What characterises the wines of Alto Adige? What are their locations? And what influence do the region’s mountains have on its wines? You can best explore the secrets of the diversity of winegrowing, winemaking and wine culture in Alto Adige on a themed tour of some of the core areas of the local viticulture. You can further the knowledge gained in follow-up discussions with the winemakers – and of course by tasting their wines.

To finish off we will once more show you Alto Adige from its very best side. Against the impressive backdrop of the historic Firmian Castle, we will conclude the Alto Adige Wine Summit 2023 with a dinner featuring authentic Alpine cuisine and, of course, the finest local wines. And, because legendary wines are best combined with living legends, we will also be coming together in an informal, comfortable and entertaining atmosphere.
