An Alto Adige Wine Vacation

Activities and images that turn your vacation into an unforgettable experience

Everyone knows that it is the travels during the summer that make it the best time of year. Troubles can be left behind and the door is open for new adventures. For all those wine connoisseurs who would like to spend their vacation in Alto Adige, we have prepared a widely varied vacation program centering on wine. It doesn’t matter whether the main focus is to be on the pleasures of the palate or you are interested in new experiences – in Alto Adige you will definitely find something that fits your fancy.

Have you ever done a blind tasting, taken part in a wine expedition in the midst of the vineyards of Alto Adige, or celebrated the Feast of St. Lawrence under the stars with Alto Adige’s winegrowers? No? Then this summer you have the perfect chance to do so.

Winery tours followed by tastings with Alto Adige’s winegrowers, excursions to the province’s wine hiking trails, and events such as the “Gewürztraminer Wine Route” on July 6, the “Wine Culture Weeks” from July 19 to 27, the Feast of St. Lawrence under the stars on August 10, the event “In Vino Veritas” on August 17. or the “Bassa Atesina Winetasting Festival” from August 23 to 25 all await you. With these events, the main focus is on the pleasures of the palate, entertainment, and the very particular wine culture of Alto Adige.

For interested friends of wine, the Alto Adige Academy of Wine offers a variety of courses in German and Italian: from a small-scale class on The ABCs of Wine to courses to prepare for the Italian sommelier exam!

Are you still looking for a place to stay for your vacation in South Tyrol? That’s no problem at all! Just take a look at what is available from the South Tyrol Vinum Hotels and you will be inspired immediately.
