Excellence Amidst the Bubbles

Toasting in Good Company with Alto Adige Sparkling Wine

As an aperitif to start off a delicious Christmas dinner or as a toast precisely at midnight: sparkling wine from Alto Adige is not be missed!

In recent years, the demand for sparkling wine has seen rapid growth, so much so as to secure its place as a drink that is never goes out of vogue and a vibrant alternative to many other new-fangled aperitifs. Alto Adige sparkling wine is the fruit of the dedication and attentive efforts of the eight sparkling wine makers who belong to the Alto Adige Sparkling Wine Producers. The méthode champenoise requires the second natural fermentation in the bottle. In order to obtain the optimal results, every bottle is subjected to a patient, periodic rotation known as the remuage or “riddling”.

Alto Adige sparkling wine owes the fullness of its aromas, its balanced acidity, and its savoriness to the terroir and to the particular climate of the province, which join together to make the bubbly from Alto Adige a drink that excels in terms of both quality and character. Every year, around 300,000 bottles of this excellence are produced.

The fact that Alto Adige sparkling wine is a cut above the rest is also shown by this year’s edition of the “Botschaftersekt”, the “ambassador” sparkling wine of Alto Adige. The result of the collaboration between the producers of Alto Adige sparkling wine, this cuvée was created with one hundred liters of base wine and is presented in double magnum bottles. Pure excellence in terms of sparkling wine: from the bottle itself to the decorated label up to the precious contents.

In a double magnum, with its most exemplary expression, or in the classic bottles, the sparkling wine from Alto Adige is a genuine masterpiece that should not be missed. And at this time of year, it is without a doubt the ideal companion and the perfect finishing touch to your holiday menu.

So bring out the goblets and make your toast with Alto Adige sparkling wine!
