Contrasts as far as the eye can see: traditional values that meet innovative approaches, vine-yards in the Mediterranean sphere that range up to 1,000 m (3,300 feet) above sea level, open visionaries and obstinate distinctive figures. Alto Adige is shaped by contrasts that characterize its winemaking and place their unmistakable stamp upon it.
This year's Wine Summit from September 5 to 8 is captivating through its particularly polished program. The main event will be the Preview on September 6. More than fifty winemakers will present their newest treasures there. The repertoire will be devoted to exclusive wines that are not yet on the market. Noble wines with new facets: some fresh and fruity, others matured for longer. It will be an impressive selection.
International visitors can expect instructive lectures on the subjects of Climate and Climate Change in Alto Adige Winemaking, Geography and Geology, and Alto Adige from the Aspect of Art and Culture, along with selected tastings, vineyard tours focusing on Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc,Gewürztraminer, Schiava (Vernatsch), Pinot Noir, and Lagrein, and the opportunity to ex-change information with Alto Adige's winegrowers.
