Weingut Köfererhof is located in the Isarco Vally, the most northern tip of Italy. The five hectares of vineyards of the estate are planted on loose and loamy-sandy soils at an aver-age altitude of 650 meters on sea level. The farmstead dates back to the twelfth century and since then grapes have always been grown and wine was sold directly at the farm. Günther Kerschbaumer is the winemaker and the wines produced are typical of this area and more similar to the wines made across the border in Austria than the traditional Italian wines.
Dense plantings combinated with altitude, high temperature during the day and cool nights in summer result fresh, aromatic and fruity wines with a good structure and mineral notes.
