Marie Chérie Sauvignon Blanc
This limited production of Sauvignon Blanc stems from the wish to continue the family’s tradition in a sustainable and contemporary manner.
The grapes ripen in our vineyard, situated at 500 m above sea level on a southeast-facing slope with a view of the Burgraviato. Christian Pinggera, an experienced pioneer for organic wine growing, cultivates the vineyard in harmony with nature and the environment. The vinification in Unterortl Winery at Juval Castle is supervised successfully by oenologist Martin Aurich with care for and sensitivity to the natural potential of this wine. Since the beginning of our project, the production of the grapes and their vinification have been carried out according to organic considerations, and have been monitored and certified by ABCERT/Bioland.
The stony soil and the microclimate where the temperature drops significantly at night give Sauvignon Marie Chérie a complex, elegant aroma with sophisticated notes of blackcurrants, elderflowers and flint. It is refreshing on the palate, with spicy mineral notes and a pleasant, lasting flavour.
