Ütia de Bioch
The Ütia de Bioch is a Ladin mountain refuge that stands out in the subject of the gourmet experience. Thus the culinary spectrum at the Ütia de Bioch ranges far beyond the classic offering of Alpine refuges. The highlight of the multifaceted menu is the so-called “gourmet plate”. It was created by Alto Adige’s only Michelin three-star chef, Norbert Niederkofler. It consists of fine tortelli with a pâté of Speck [traditional Tyrolean farmer’s bacon] and ricotta cheese on a bean fond. And the selection of wines is also neck and neck with the cuisine. The refuge brings alive a prominent wine culture with outstanding glass culture, an astonishing depth of vintages with select wines, and top-quality Alto Adige wines along with refined consultation. And all of that at an elevation of over 2,000 meters (6,600 feet)! Guests immediately feel that someone is taking care of the wine category with heart and soul.
“An Alto Adige wine at an elevation of 2,000 m, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Alto Adige Dolomites, is something that everyone should (be able to) enjoy at least once.” – Markus Valentini.
