Vernatsch Cup 2026

The Vernatsch Cup returns for its 23rd edition, once again shining a spotlight on Alto Adige’s most charming native grape.

An international panel of wine journalists, oenologists and enthusiasts from Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland taste the latest vintage wines – blind and with a keen eye for character.

The highlight comes on June 2: during the Vernatsch Party at the vigilius mountain resort in Lana, the winners are revealed. Only a select few – usually 5 to 10 wines – earn the title “Vernatsch of the Year.”
