Baita Daniel Hütte

Since 1971, the Demez family has been running the Daniel Hut, located at an altitude of 2,240 metres on the slopes of Seceda in Val Gardena, which has always placed great emphasis on cuisine and wine. For around 30 years now, the focus on wine has been continuously expanded. In the beginning, Samuel Demez held the reins, but now the hut is run by his son Martin. The goal has always been the same: to introduce guests to the diversity and quality of South Tyrol's wine country. The menu also features wines from other regions of Italy and around the world. Because it can be difficult to choose from such a well-stocked cellar, the Demez family provides expert advice, with a particular focus on local wines. A visit to the Daniel Hut guarantees an authentic South Tyrolean hut experience – especially for wine lovers.

"We prove that wine can also make a stylish appearance in a hut at over 2,200 metres above sea level. Our white and red wine cellar stocks over 370 labels, more than two-thirds of which are from South Tyrolean winegrowers," says Martin Demez.
