Ütia Bioch m. 2079
There are several classic Ladin mountain huts, but hardly any are as well known and popular among gourmets and wine lovers as the Ütia Bioch. Under the leadership of Markus Valentini, the hut, located at just over 2000 meters above sea level, has become a hotspot for all those who attach particular importance to South Tyrolean wine and South Tyrolean wine culture, both in summer and winter.Markus Valentini and his team are characterized by an extraordinary passion for South Tyrolean wine, which is evident in every detail. This is reflected in the wide range of South Tyrolean wines on offer, as well as in an impressive depth of vintages and a comprehensive knowledge of local wine culture. Added to this is a keen sense of the optimal wine pairing and, last but not least, expert, open, friendly advice that takes time for guests and their preferences – and for communicating everything there is to know about South Tyrolean wine.
With this comprehensive catalog of good arguments, the Ütia Bioch was able to convince the jury again in 2024. "Again" because the hut was the first business ever to receive the South Tyrolean Wine Culture Award for the second time.
"Everyone should (be allowed to) enjoy a South Tyrolean wine at an altitude of 2000 m, in the heart of the South Tyrolean Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site," Markus Valentini.
