It’s Raining Awards for Alto Adige Wines
The Results are In from Gambero Rosso, BIWA, and Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Some twenty-one Alto Adige wines were awarded “Three Glasses”, four wines are among the best of BIWA, and four Alto Adige wines score outstanding point totals in the Robert Parker Wine Advocate. The renowned wine guides made things exciting once again this year.
In the end, twenty-one Alto Adige wines in the most famous wine guide in Italy, Gambero-Rosso, managed to be honored with the coveted “Three Glasses” in I Vini d’Italia 2020.
Three varieties were tied this year with three honors each: Gewürztraminer, Lagrein, and Pinot Blanc. A total of fourteen white wines, six red wines, and one sparkling wine scaled the Mt. Olympus of the world of Italian wine.

The conferring of the “Three Glasses” awards will take place within the framework of a celebration in Rome on October 27.
And which Alto Adige wines landed distinctions from BIWA (Best Italian Wine Awards)? Every year, a committee of international wine connoisseurs nominates fifty wines that stand out for quality, aroma, color, and consistency. The following Alto Adige wines are among the fifty best:
On top of that, in Part 2 of its 2019 Alto Adige Report, the American magazine Robert Parker Wine Advocate awarded four Alto Adige wines with ninety-five or more points out of a hundred:
