The Winegrowing Region of Alto Adige under International Focus

Wine experts, trade journalists, and influencers from ten countries were guests in Alto Adige in mid-September. The occasion was the third Alto Adige Wine Summit that was organized by the Consortium of Alto Adige Wine and IDM Alto Adige. The main focus was to emphasize the great diversity of the winegrowing region and its wines. “We also arranged the program correspondingly with just as much diversity,” said Andreas Kofler, president of the Consortium of Alto Adige Wine. The palette of events ranged from exclusive tastings to exchanges with local winegrowers and preview presentations of special wines all the way to the combination of haute cuisine with top-quality wines.

The final results of the most important wine event in the province turned out to be nothing short of extremely positive. “The Summit more than met our expectations,“ Kofler remarked. “Our guests from all over the world, among whom were representatives of the most important trade publications, were inspired by the program.”
