Your tour will be even more delightful, enjoyable and instructive if you set off with one of Alto Adige’s twenty Bike Wine Ambassadors, specially trained wine connoisseurs who will take you into the world of wine. Their cycling routes will show you the finest aspects of the winegrowing region of Alto Adige as they pass on their expert knowledge. What’s more, they do this almost all year round: in spring, when the fresh shoots of the vines reach up towards the sun; in summer, when the grapes are slowly ripening; and in autumn, when the fruits sparkle between the vine leaves in tones that range from a light golden-green to a deep, dark violet.



What are the Bike Wine Ambassadors?

The Bike Wine Ambassador programme is an initiative of the Alto Adige Wine Consortium and the Alto Adige Bike Guide Association for combining the enjoyment of sport and wine. And the special feature is that each tour is individually adapted to the specific requests of guests. Do you want to visit a particular winery? Taste a rare wine? Explore the winegrowing region of your favourite variety by bike? Or discover the terroir of the native grape varieties, Schiava and Lagrein? All these wishes are taken into account by the Bike Wine Ambassadors when planning a route.
The Bike Wine Ambassadors can be booked in all of Alto Adige’s winegrowing regions: the Isarco Valley, the Adige Valley and the Venosta Valley.
