Merlot was first planted in Alto Adige along with other Bordeaux varieties around 130 years ago. Since that time, it has made itself quite at home. This early-maturing variety unfolds its intense aromas of blackberries, black currants, plum compote, and spices in fruity, full-bodied wines.
