Pinot Blanc feels especially at home at high elevations up to 800 m (2,600 ft.) above sea level and in Alto Adige, it has developed into the leading white variety right after Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc. Its elegant scent of apples, pears, lemons, and tone of hay flowers and hazelnut make it a versatile companion. Its lively acidity and fruity finesse open doors for it with wine connoisseurs and gourmets.
