Heiner. Wine Estate at the Heinrichshof.

The Heinrichshof is located just a 10-minute walk from Bolzano’s old town and offers not only the historic estate with its ancient vaulted cellars and the Heinrich Church, but also steep vineyards situated right on the edge of the city, as well as a cellar integrated directly into the vineyard.

The young winemaker and cellar master Heiner Oberrauch took over the wine estate in 2019 and has since focused on sustainable agriculture and naturally vinified wines that authentically reflect each vintage and grape variety.

The vineyards located directly at the estate are cultivated biodynamically and exclusively by hand. The entire processing and bottling of the wines takes place directly in the cellar, which is integrated on three levels beneath the vineyard.

Most of the vineyards are situated on steep slopes with gradients of up to 60% and are cultivated using both the traditional pergola training system and the espalier training system.

A particular highlight is the vineyard located right next door along the riverbed of the Talvera, where Lagrein vines up to 80 years old grow on old double pergola structures.
